NYC’s high school football season ends with new and old champions

Erasmus Hall capped off an undefeated season and its third consecutive PSAL championship, holding off Curtis 33-26. Erasmus Hall finished as the No. 1 team in our 12's top twelve poll. Curtis and Monsignor Farrell ranked respectively two and three; both lost in their league championship games.

The 2021 high school football season is in the books for the five boroughs, with champions crowned at all levels throughout the city.
Erasmus Hall capped off an undefeated season and its third consecutive PSAL championship, holding off Curtis 33-26. Erasmus Hall finished as the No. 1 team in our 12's top twelve poll. Curtis and Monsignor Farrell ranked respectively two and three; both lost in their league championship games.
Cardinal Hayes battled a very tough schedule and finished fourth. Tottenville and Canarsie, both of which reached the city semifinals, finished five and six.
Two more New York City teams captured championships over the weekend as well. Madison won their third straight title with a 36-20 victory over New Dorp to finish off an undefeated season. Clinton also finished undefeated while capturing the cup championship, the first city football title in the history of the program.
