Ever wonder about the status of that elevator project in your NYCHA development?
The New York City Housing Authority is increasing development transparency with the launch of an enhanced online tracker.
It hopes it will build stronger ties with their residents.
The tracker provides a deep dive into NYCHA projects across New York City.  But this isn’t new – an earlier version was launched in 2022.
This new version was workshopped with NYCHA residents.
It will include key features and information such as pictures, detailed project overviews and statuses.
NYCHA residents will have more transparency on the projects going on in their developments such as playground repairs and landscaping.
Shaan Mavani is NYCHA’s chief asset and capital management officer.
“We’re trying to communicate better, be more transparent and accountable and this is one of those channels in addition to all of the work we do--visiting the campuses, having resident discussions on different projects, making sure the residents are engaged throughout the whole project we’re implementing together,” Mavani told News 12 New York.
The tool is available online on your computer or smartphone.  To access it, you can click here.
