The NYCHA and NYPD joined together Friday to hold a resource fair to help get residents off the streets.
The event included job training programs, jobs, colleges and several more representatives to recruit and assist people in need.
“And the reason why it is called a resource is because people can come here and not only fill out applications for jobs, but also fill out applications for training programs that will later on place them in a job,” said Throgs Neck Resident Council president Monique Johnson.
Organizers said the NYPD even committed themselves to transporting those who live in public housing to the resource fair.
