NYCHA activated its Emergency Operations Centers throughout the five boroughs Wednesday to prepare for high temperatures this week. 
Cooling centers at NYCHA properties will open Thursday. Water stations will also be available to keep residents hydrated.  
NYCHA says it has 26 generators on hand in case the power goes out.
NYCHA staff will also be on call to do wellness outreach and make sure residents have the resources needed to deal with the hea
