The NYPD says a 17-year-old boy was stabbed at around 4 p.m. on Friday.
The incident occurred near 24 Havemeyer St.
Residents told News 12 it is a very quiet street, wedged between a church and a high school down the block, so the incident was very unexpected.
Police say the teen was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and is in stable condition.
It's unclear what led to the encounter or if the suspect in the victim knew each other.
