Police say two teens were injured in a shooting inside Kings Plaza Mall in Brooklyn Monday afternoon.
Investigators say shots were fired around 2:30 p.m. when someone in a group of three people pulled out a gun at a group of six people. They say the shooter then ran out of the mall.
A 14-year-old boy was shot in the leg and a 16-year-old boy was grazed by a bullet. Police say they’re both expected to survive.
Shoppers were evacuated from the mall after the shooting.
Police say they arrested three suspects shortly after just a few blocks away. The commanding officer says two suspects were known to the NYPD for other gun-related offenses.
The suspect, who police believe fired shots in the mall on Monday, was arrested two months ago for four firearm possessions and was out on bail.
The mall was closed for the rest of the day as police continued their investigation.
