Police: Man facing drug charges following compliance inspection

A man was fatally shot early Wednesday morning in Olinville, authorities say.

Police say they found a 34-year-old man at 3836 Carpenter Ave. around 3:30 a.m. with a gunshot wound in the left side of his torso.

First responders transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they’re looking for three men who were seen running away from the scene.

Residents of the Olinville section of the Bronx were left in shock following the incident.
