NYPD data shows that rape cases in the Bronx have increased by 21% from last year. To date there are a total of 416 cases of rape. Last year at around this time there were 342.

Police are investigating a couple of incidents that happened recently in the borough.

Police have released new photos of a man wanted in connection to a rape that happened on Nov. 28 in the Bronx.

Officials say it happened at around 3 p.m., inside of a red Honda CRV. News 12 is told the man raped a 24-year-old woman inside of a car in the parking lot of a McDonald's, at 1982 Westchester Ave. According to the NYPD the two met online and arranged to meet there.

Just a few blocks away, in a separate incident, police say they caught Gregory Williams after raping a woman on Virginia Avenue Wednesday at 3:30 a.m. The man was living in a shelter nearby and was walked out of the 43rd Precinct. Williams is facing a slew of charges after he beat and raped a woman.
