NYPD: Man critically injured in shooting near Assembly Speaker Heastie’s office

The NYPD says a man is in critical condition after he was shot in the head near the office of Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie in the Bronx.
Police say the man was shot just after 3 p.m. Monday on the sidewalk of Fenton Avenue and East Gun Hill Avenue in Baychester.
News 12 was told the man was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
There is no information yet on a suspect.
