According to the NYPD, the shooting took place at the Tilden Houses on Livonia Avenue at around 1 a.m.
The victim was found with a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to a local hospital. He is expected to recover.
There are no arrests at this time. It's unclear what lead up to the shooting.
