Bitter cold weather continues in the Bronx
5h agoPolice are asking of the public's help in finding a man they said attempted to lure a 9-year-old girl in Sheepshead Bay Thursday.
The incident happened on at 7:30 a.m. on Avenue Z and East 28th Street.
Authorities say the man walked up to the girl and touched her on the shoulder in an attempt to lure her away. He was unsuccessful and the girl was not injured.
The man took off in a white va, according to police.
Detectives have released images of the man last seen wearing a black ski mask and blue jeans.
The white van still has not been found.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
