A recent string of assaults against MTA workers across New York City has transit employees on edge, with at least seven reported incidents in the past month.

The latest attack happened on May 19 aboard a Bx10 bus in the Norwood section of The Bronx.

Police say a female suspect sprayed an unknown substance into the face of a bus driver before fleeing the scene. The driver was treated and is expected to recover.

On Thursday, an MTA train cleaner at the Bergen Street station in Brooklyn was attacked by a man holding a metal pipe.

Though the pipe missed, the confrontation turned into a fight, leaving the worker with minor injuries that required hospital treatment.

Earlier in May, a female MTA employee was punched in the face while working on a downtown 4 train at the West 183rd Street and Jerome Avenue station.

Police are still searching for the suspects in each of the attacks. Anyone with information is urged to contact NYPD Crime Stoppers.
