The NYPD says the officers involved in the 2019 fatal shooting of Kawasaki Trawick in the Bronx will not face any disciplinary action.
Police say they responded to calls of a man acting "erratic" and walking through the halls of an apartment building with some sort of stick.
The NYPD says Trawick was telling them that he had locked himself out of his apartment and called the fire department to help.
When police arrived at his apartment, Trawick was asking the officers why they kicked down his door.
Officials say moments later, and after repeated requests for Trawick to put his knife down, Trawick was shot with a stun gun and then gunned down after he got up from being stunned.
