The Bronx family of a retired NYPD officer celebrated the life of Reginald Cooley on Saturday during a homegoing service in Williamsbridge.
Cooley, 61, battled a 9/11-related cancer after serving 21 years on the force. He was heavily involved in his Bronx community, who say he will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years and his two sons, who spoke at his service.
Cooley served as a police officer in Harlem and was on the 49th Precinct Clergy Council as a reverend.
