Police responded to a motor vehicle accident call Thursday at 12:15 a.m. at Morris Park Avenue and Haight Avenue.

Police responded to a motor vehicle accident call Thursday at 12:15 a.m. at Morris Park Avenue and Haight Avenue. At the scene, police say they spotted a 26-year-old male driver with severe trauma to the head and a 24-year-old male passenger with severe trauma to the torso.
According to officers, the men were in a 1998 Mercedes Benz ML320. They were traveling at a high-rate speed on Morris Park Avenue, police say, when the driver failed to properly navigate the roadway and the vehicle struck a pole
EMS also responded to the area and pronounced the 26-year-old dead at the scene. EMS transported the 24-year-old to treatment where he is listed in critical condition.
Police identified the 26-year-old as Kreshnik Kajtazaj, of the Bronx.
