Police have confirmed the discovery of a body part today at a screening facility for the Department of Environmental Protection in Hunts Point.

Police have found a body part today at a screening facility for the Department of Environmental Protection in Hunts Point. Officials tell News 12 that the body part found at the facility was that of a newborn baby's leg.
Authorities say a DEP employee found the leg from the knee down coming through on a conveyor belt inside the facility around 8:30 a.m.
Police are investigating how the leg ended up in the facility.
