Police say a phone snatcher on a moped is responsible for two robberies that happened just three days apart.

Authorities say the first robbery was reported on Sept. 3. They say the man approached a 35-year-old woman along Soundview Avenue and attempted to snatch her phone. Officials say the woman was unharmed.

The second incident was reported three days later on Sept.6. Police say the man on the moped approached a 21-year-old woman walking on Gleason Avenue - and took off with her phone on Havemeyer Avenue.
