NYPD: Shots fired at off-duty officer parked on Jennings Avenue

Authorities are investigating a shootout between an off-duty NYPD officer and a man in the Bronx Tuesday morning.

Authorities are investigating a shootout between an off-duty NYPD officer and a man in the Bronx Tuesday morning.
Police say it happened while the officer was parked in his vehicle outside 989 Jennings Ave. around 1 a.m.
News 12 is told a group started exchanging words with him. That's when police say a man on a bike pulled out a gun and fired at the off-duty officer. The officer fired back as the group took off.
News 12 is told the police officer was not injured.
Detectives are still working to identify the gunman.
