Arrest made in fatal shooting in Stratford

A man has been arrested for a fatal slashing that occurred on June 23 in Mont Haven, according to police.

Authorities say 54-year-old Ramon Cruz was found on Willis Avenue with multiple cuts to his face.

He was hospitalized and died about three weeks later.

Police say Jorrell Shoals, 37, is facing murder and manslaughter charges.
