A woman is recovering after being shot at a grocery store Sunday evening in Throgs Neck.

Police say a 31-year-old woman was shot in her buttocks at JD Food Market on Quincy Avenue.

News 12 is told she was taken to a nearby hospital, where she is expected to be OK.

Police say the suspect managed to escape on foot and is still at-large.

There’s no word on what caused the shots to be fired, or if there is a relationship between the victim and shooter.
