The NYPD Youth Police Academy gathered Monday for its graduation ceremony at the Barclays Center.

As part of the summer program, students went on field trips and took classes on drug prevention and resisting gangs.

The graduates say they have a newfound respect for New York's Finest.

The Youth Police Academy also paid its respects to fallen officers, including Miosotis Familia, who was fatally shot while sitting in her command vehicle in the Bronx.
