A Brooklyn hospital that serves one of the highest Medicaid populations has one of the lowest mortality rates in the nation.
Lutheran Hospital and NYU Langone Health underwent a merger in 2016. Since then, mortality rates have been down 33%.
Dr. Erwin Wang says after the merger, NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn is now a five-star hospital.
