Police say an off-duty officer was involved in a physical altercation in Manhattan early Friday morning.
According to police, the incident took place outside the Hudson Deli on 9th Avenue and 51st Street. The off-duty NYPD officer was with another adult man when an argument with four other men took place outside the deli.
Police say the four men start physically assaulting them, then grab the officer's firearm and fled southbound down 9th Avenue in a vehicle.
The officer was treated at St. Lukes Roosevelt Hospital, and the person he was with was treated at Mount Sinai.
