Police say the 19-year-old who was shot in the head and backside in Crown Heights Thursday evening has died.
As News 12 previously reported, Miles Jabateh was shot around 5 p.m. First responders rushed him to the hospital, where he was in critical condition.
Investigators described the person responsible as a Black male wearing a light-colored mask as well as a black-hooded jacket, light-colored jeans and black sneakers with blue shoelaces.
Police say there haven't been any arrests and ask anyone with more information to reach out.
According to NYPD statistics, there have been 22 shooting incidents in just the Bronx and Brooklyn this week. The shootings had a total of 25 victims - including three whom have died.
