City officials are advising residents to take proper precautions before hitting the beach this weekend.
They say it is important to apply sunscreen and reapply it between swims.
Residents should also wear sunglasses to protect their vision against gradual degeneration from UV rays.
Beachgoers are also advised to bring a source of shade and plenty of liquids to stay hydrated.
