Officials: Boy dies from apparent fall from Mount Hope building
Police said a preliminary investigation shows the child fell from the window on the fourth floor of the apartment building at 240 Mount Hope Place.

A 9-year-old boy was pronounced dead Sunday afternoon after an apparent fall from a Mount Hope building.
A family member told News 12 Miguel Ramos' mother went to the bathroom before coming out to find him nearly lifeless on the sidewalk.
News 12 was told Ramos was non-verbal and was diagnosed with autism.
Police said a preliminary investigation shows Ramos fell from the window on the fourth floor of the apartment building at 240 Mount Hope Place.
Police arrived quickly and immediately began CPR before they rushed him to the hospital in their cruiser.
Ramos was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital.
Neighbors said they would see Ramos out playing at the park and he always had a big smile on his face.
A former babysitter who lives nearby said Ramos' mother, who adopted him, was a great mother.
News 12 also learned she fosters three other special needs children.
The news of Ramos's death came as an emotional heartbreak for many who know their family.
"That boy, I loved him very much from when he was little. I would come and help take care of him. When she went anywhere, she would call me, to do food shopping, he was never left alone. I've known him since he was five days old, I had a lot of love for him and this causes me a lot of pain, even more because I have an autistic granddaughter," said former babysitter Leonor Castello.
