Some of the alleged heroin-filled envelopes seized by officials were stamped with the word “coronavirus.”
The Drug Enforcement Administration says over $1 million worth of heroin and fentanyl was discovered in an apartment in University Heights during a raid Thursday night.
Prosecutors say the arrest follows an investigation into the operation that was allegedly moving drugs throughout the entire Northeast.
They say $25,000 and drug packaging equipment was also found.
Six people, all from the Bronx, were arrested.
