Officials: Person stabbed on MTA bus with screwdriver

The MTA did confirm that the stabbing incident took place on a BX22 bus just after 2 p.m.

A person was stabbed near the intersection of East Fordham Road and Webster Avenue with a screwdriver while on the bus, according to city officials.
Police say that the victim, a 60-year-old man, was stabbed in the head by the screwdriver after an argument broke out on the bus.
The FDNY says that first responders arrived at the scene and treated the victim. That person was transported to a nearby hospital, and he is in stable condition.
One witness spoke with News 12, saying that people fled the bus when it was stopped on Fordham Road and that the victim was bleeding from the head profusely. She adds that she and her co-workers worked to help the victim stop the bleeding.
The MTA did confirm that the stabbing incident took place on a BX22 bus just after 2 p.m. No bus services were impacted by the incident at this time.
