Members from a Brooklyn community organization came together in Coney Island Wednesday to call for an end to gun violence following last week's shooting on Surf Avenue.
Operation Hood is spreading an anti-violence gun message across the boroughs. This comes just one week after police say a 42-year-old was shot in both legs in the lobby of a building on Surf Avenue.
“Somebody has to do something,” said Derick Latif Scott, program director for Operation Hood.
The 42-year-old victim is in stable condition, according to the NYPD.
