It’s been one year since the "Open Run Program" took over Soundview Park in the Bronx.

Organizers say the program brings a whole community together to participate in a weekly day of fitness.

Attendants tell News 12 that they are grateful for the program.

“It’s about community, it’s about getting people together to encourage and support each other to do positive things. Things that are going to improve their quality of life,” says Charles Yellowday.

For those interested on joining the group, they meet every Saturday at 8:45 a.m.
