Businesses on Burnside Avenue are still cleaning up, days after looters broke into stores Monday night.
The owner of S and M Electronics tells News 12 that as looters were running out of the store with stolen TVs, furniture and electronics --anything they dropped, they left broken on the ground.
Owner Frankie says after looters broke in using demolishing tools, they took almost everything. He says they took jewelry, electronics and even a washing machine.
He says they called the police many times but that they never came. Frankie tells News 12 that he defended his store until he says the looters tried to kill him.
The owner tells News 12 that even though the shop has business insurance, they are not able to get coverage after Monday night’s attack.
It is still unclear if Mayor Bill de Blasio's relief grants will help.
