One Bronx resident says she woke up in the middle of the night to discover her parked car was damaged - and the person responsible nowhere to be found.
Millie Garcia says the damages to her car will cost over $2,000. She says she discovered her new Honda Passport completely ruined on Monday evening.
Exclusive video obtained by News 12 shows a dark-colored sedan trying to pull out of a parking spot on Blackrock Avenue. That car strikes Garcia’s car across the street from her home in Unionport. Neighbors can be heard in the video reacting in shock before the video cuts off.
Another video shared to News 12 shows neighbors chasing after the car they believe to be responsible. Garcia and her daughter Eve say that based on how the car was moving, they believe the driver was intoxicated.

“We are not getting the support that we need. To some people, it might just be a car, it’s an object. But to my mother, this is her livelihood,” said Eve Garcia.
