The city's Park's Department has some useful ideas that Bronx residents might want to consider for their Christmas trees.
They say Mulchfest 2018 will allow resident to recycle the tree and take home mulch to use in their gardens.
Mulchfest will be Jan. 6 and Jan. 7 at different locations around the city, including Brook Park, Metropolitan Oval in Parkchester, Soundview Park and Van Cortlandt Park.
All the recycled trees will be turned into compost for parks, gardens and greenspaces around the city.
Residents can also bring their trees to a drop-off site from Dec. 31 through Jan. 7. Those locations can be found at:
-    Co-op Boulevard and Bellamy Loop
-    586 Tinton Avenue at East 150th Street
-    Reservoir Avenue and Webb avenue
-    Mosholu Parkway North and Kossuth Avenue
-    West 192nd Street and Jerome Avenue
-    Reservoir Place and Reservoir Oval
According to the Park's Department, 26,000 people recycled their trees last year.
Curbside pickups for Christmas trees will also take place from Jan. 2 though Jan. 13.
