A forensic pathologist and an NYPD detective testified Friday for the prosecution at the Bronx trial of a mother who is accused of killing her children.

Taking the stand at the Bronx County Hall of Justice, the pathologist from the medical examiner's office testified that Lisette Bamenga's young son and infant daughter died from drowning.

An NYPD detective also took the stand to speak about the more than 100 photos he took of the crime scene, which included children's cups in the kitchen sink and a partially empty bottle of juice on a counter.

Prosecutors allege that the 32-year-old mother and teacher spiked her children's juice with de-icing fluid and then drowned them in a tub in 2012.

Since the start of the trial on Monday, several people have shown up to support Bamenga. Some of them said Bamenga had taught their children.

Bamenga's attorney, Michael Dowd, said his client was suffering from postpartum psychosis. 

The prosecution is expected to wrap up its case as early as Monday, and the father of the children is expected to testify for the prosecution.
