  • Two United States senators pressed the Federal Trade Commission to probe Tesla. Democratic Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Edward Markey penned a letter to the agency saying Tesla misled consumers and endangered the public by marketing its driving automation systems as fully self-driving.
  • PayPal is offering gig economy workers an easier way to manage their money. The online payment platform recently announced a new partnership with Fiserv, which allows workers to get paychecks deposited into a PayPal or Venmo account.
  • As the demand for plus-size apparel rises in the United States, Old Navy is making moves to tap into the extended-size market. Old Navy will soon offer sizes 0 through 28 and XS through 4X for all its female styles in its stores, and up to size 30 online. Female models will now appear in sizes four, 12 and 18, both in stores and online. Old Navy will also rearrange the merchandise in stores, so that sizes are no longer located in separate areas.
