Performance artist Brendan Fernandes hosted a Vogue Ball Friday night at Purchase College's Neuberger Museum of Art.
The ball was in collaboration with Purchase College Queer People of Color and part of the performance art exhibition "Hard Return: Nine Experiments For This Moment."
The ball is influenced by expressions of gender and performance that flourished in the Black Queer scene of the 1980s in New York City.
Attendees were invited to view or participate in the expressive dance form known as Vogue by walking any Vogue category of their choice, which included floor performance, cat walk, duck walk and spins and dips.
