The FDNY says a person was injured after a fire broke out inside the basement of a home in Westchester Square.
Firefighters responded to 2137 Glebe Ave. at around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Crews battled the basement blaze for just under 30 minutes, according to fire officials.
The victim suffered minor injuries and denied medical attention at the scene.
News 12 reached out to the Red Cross and is awaiting a response.
