Phase four of New York’s reopening plan takes effect today in New York City.
Phase four will mean even more people will be heading back to work; the city has added additional space for restaurants to use for outdoor dining, and some outdoor activities will also be opening for the public.
Included in phase four will be the reopening of city zoos.
Outdoor venues like the zoos and botanical gardens have been cleared with strict capacity limits and safety precautions.
Bronx Zoo will continue to host free Wednesday’s, but only if visitors sign up for a ticket on their website.
Face masks are required at all times for visitors ages 3 years old and up.
Professional sports are also back on, except fans will not be able to cheer from the stands any time soon. However, this weekend fans did get to enjoy the Yankees take on the Mets for a spring training game.
Production companies can also start shooting anything from movies, to music videos and even TV shows.
Indoor dining, malls and museums will continue to remain closed for now due to fears it will cause a rise in COVID-19 cases.
