Planet Fitness in Baychester is taking measures to ensure safety during workouts as gyms reopen from pandemic-required closures.
Before a guest can enter the gym, they have to go through a health screening and are asked a series of questions.
The gym is allowing 33% capacity, which means no more than 96 people can be in the gym at one time.
Members must also keep 6 feet apart and use every other machine to maintain social distancing. Touchless check-ins and cleaning stations have also been installed.
Routine disinfecting will also take place on the gym floor. Members must also wipe down machines after every use.
Members tell News 12 they feel safe and don’t mind the new changes to their workout routine.
The gym has also upgraded its air filtration system.  It will also close at 10 p.m. on weekdays to allow for overnight cleaning.
