A man is dead and another is injured after an overnight shooting in Allerton.

Police say they received the call around midnight about a shooting at the Eastchester Gardens on Adee Avenue.

That’s when first responders found a 35-year-old man shot in the chest and a 57-year-old shot in the left shoulder.

The two men were taken to Jacobi Hospital where police tell News 12 the 35-year-old victim died from his injuries.  

Police say they are looking for a group of men as potential suspects in connection to the deadly shooting. 

Detectives say the 57-year-old recovering in the hospital is being highly uncooperative, so it is still unclear if the two men knew one another.
