A shooting Thursday in Brooklyn has left one man dead and another wounded, police say.
Police say both victims were 40 years old. The two were rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where one of the victims was pronounced dead. Police say the other man is expected to survive.
According to police, the shooting happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Willmohr Street and Rockaway Parkway.
"Doesn't make any sense. It's happening all too often," says resident Unique Kinsler. "These kids today are crazy. This gun violence has to stop. It's not just over here. It's everywhere. It's like wherever you go, you're going to come across the same thing."
The shooting comes on the same day that Mayor Eric Adams held an
emotional news conference to address the wave of gun violence impacting New York City.
No arrests have been made.
