One person was killed and at least one person was injured during a crash off the Cross Bronx Expressway, police say.
A 30-year-old man was driving in the northbound lane of the Cross Bronx Expressway when he lost control of the car, according to officials. When he attempted to exit the highway, he hit a median at the exit area and then hit a pillar before coming to a stop.
The driver was killed, and a 35-year-old male passenger received medical attention at St. Barnabas Hospital. He is now in stable condition.
A 21-year-old female passenger refused medical attention at the scene.
The man who died has not yet been identified.
