Police are investigating a triple shooting that left one man dead overnight in Wakefield.

Officers responded to the 4400 block of Richardson Avenue just after 9 p.m. Saturday. where they found a 21-year-old man shot in the back. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Another man and a woman also suffered gunshot wounds, but officials say they are recovering.

Investigators are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the shooting, but they tell News 12 it may have been a result of a drug deal gone wrong.
