Police: 18-year-old boy stabbed on 2 train in Longwood

Police say the victim was stabbed once in his lower back and slashed on his elbow and neck.

Police say an 18-year-old boy was stabbed on a northbound 2 train Monday night in Longwood.

According to police, the attack happened aboard the train at the Freeman Street Station just before 6:30 p.m.

Police say the victim was stabbed once in his lower back and slashed on his elbow and neck. He was rushed to St Barnabas Hospital where he is expected to be OK.

Police sources say they are searching for a man between the ages of 30 to 40, who they believe is responsible for this attack. He was wearing white sneakers, a dark colored jacket, and pants at the time of the attack. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
