A 19-year-old woman died after being shot during an armed robbery inside a Burger King.
Police identified her as Kristal Bayron-Nieves. They say the incident happened overnight at 154 East 116th Street.
The 19-year-old woman was an employee working as a cashier. She was shot in the torso after an armed man went up to the register demanding money.
Following the armed robbery, Bayron-Nieves was rushed to an area hospital where she died.
News 12 was informed that the suspect got away with an unknown amount of money. No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
