Police say two children abducted by their own parents in the Bronx were found safe in Delaware after a 12-hour search.
The two children, a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old, are now back home in Virginia after being found safe in Delaware around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say they were called to Grace Avenue Monday afternoon after Christopher and Uno McDowell ran off with their kids. Family members tell News 12 the couple’s three children live with their grandparents in Virginia full time. They were in the Bronx visiting their other grandparents when investigators say the couple showed up and took their two youngest with them, leaving their 5-year-old son behind.
Police say they found 2-year-old Chi and 4-year-old Cella Rose within about 12 hours of their disappearance with their parents in Delaware.
The two young children were reunited with their grandparents Tuesday morning, according to investigators, and are now safe back in Virginia.
So far, no one has been charged.
