Police: 2 dead, others injured in 4-car collision in Country Club

At least two people were killed in a car accident on the Bruckner Expressway this morning in the Bronx.

At least two people were killed in a car accident on the Bruckner Expressway this morning in the Bronx.
Police say a vehicle was traveling southbound on Bruckner Boulevard at a high speed when the driver lost control and hit a light pole around midnight.
News 12 is told the car went flying over the median into northbound traffic. That’s when it struck three other vehicles and burst into flames.
News 12 is told four vehicles were involved in the collision, and all four caught on fire and were completely destroyed.
Dozens of officers responded to the scene near Country Club Road shortly after midnight, and they continue to remain on scene. News 12 has seen them remove two bodies from one of the cars.
News 12 is told the two people that were inside the vehicle that lost control have been pronounced dead. Police say two others were taken to a hospital and three other people refused medical attention.
