Police: 2 men injured in separate overnight shootings in Bed-Stuy

Two men were injured in two separate overnight shootings in Bed-Stuy, police say.

Police say two men were injured in separate overnight shootings a mile apart in Bed-Stuy.

According to investigators, it happened at about 10:20 p.m. at Gates and Bedford avenues. A 23-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and left leg and was taken to a hospital. He is expected to recover.

Police say the suspect drove away in a black sedan.

The second shooting happened about two hours later on Gates Avenue near Stuyvesant Avenue. A 34-year-old man was shot in the ankle, thigh and shoulder, police say. He is expected to be OK.

Police say there is no suspect description as they continue to investigate.
