Two officers were taken to the hospital after being involved in a pursuit collision Monday night in Baychester, officials say.

Investigators say an unmarked police car tried to make a traffic stop of a BMW sedan on Barnes Avenue a little before 9 p.m.

The BMW fled and drove onto the Bronx River Parkway where they collided with a marked police car on Eastchester Road injuring the two officers in the car.

The two people inside the BMW were taken into custody.
