Police: 2 people shot in Bedford Park, one person in custody

The incident took place at the intersection of Decatur Avenue and E. Mosholu Parkway in the Bronx, with several blocks closed off as police are investigating the situation.

The NYPD says two people were shot Monday afternoon in Bedford Park.
The incident took place at the intersection of Decatur Avenue and E. Mosholu Parkway in the Bronx, with several blocks closed off as police are investigating the situation.
Police have one person in custody in connection to the shooting at this time. The NYPD says they took him into custody on Marion Avenue at approximately 6:30 p.m. Monday night. 
Police say the incident took place around 3 p.m. One victim in his 20s was shot in the right arm and below the waist. The other victim’s age is unknown. He was shot in the leg, officials say.  
Both victims are in the hospital and are expected to survive. The shooting took place just blocks away from the 52nd Precinct.
